You know where the convenience store is on the northwest corner of Alcoa and Boone Roads.
You know the northeast corner where there’s a white house with a purple door (daycare).
On the southeast corner, there are 18 acres of land that in February 2016, a local family agreed to sell to Midtowne Church. The church members came up with the down payment and the church leaders signed the papers last week.
The church is currently located in the old Landers body shop at 4037 Boone Road, just west of this intersection. Lead Pastor Doug Pruitt stated that church membership is growing out of that warehouse and has been looking for property to fit a new building. Pruitt made the announcement Sunday, February 21, 2016, during regular service to church members.
The following are pictures from that announcement, including an aerial view of the land, illustrations of the planned structure from various angles and a floorplan.
