I couldn’t say why Google maps was showing the Benton Skating Center as closed, but they are definitely still open for business! Thank goodness, because I’d hate to lose another local treasure.
Open Fridays 7:30 – 11:00 p.m.and Saturdays 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. They have private parties and school fundraisers on weeknights and during the day Saturdays and some Sundays.

I had a reader email me today to ask about the skating rink in Benton.
The reader said, “Did Benton skate center close? I’ve tried calling and no one has answered and when I Googled, this is what came up.”
Then she attached the following photo:
I looked on Facebook and noted that the last time someone checked in at this location was November 5th, 2016.
