Officers have recovered the black Camaro suspected in the shooting incident. Detectives have located a victim and one other party involved. The white GMC double-cab truck is still being sought.
UPDATE 5:26PM 02/20/2017 FROM BENTON PD:
About 2:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the parking lot of Academy Sports + Outdoors, 20790 Interstate 30, for a report of a shooting incident. The suspects fled the area in a newer model black Camaro and white GMC double-cab pickup truck. Evidence gathered at the scene by Benton detectives indicated at least one person may have sustained a wound during the altercation. The investigation is ongoing.

According to the Benton Police Department’s Instagram account, there has been a shooting in the parking lot of Academy Sports and Outdoor, in the Hurricane Creek Village Shopping Center in Benton.
The suspect vehicles are a dark gray or black Camaro with chrome wheels and tinted windows and a white GMC Sierra with club cab. Investigators are on the scene. The Benton PD says the public should avoid the area until further notice.
Benton Officer Quinton Jackson stated that shots were fired in an altercation and there have been no robberies in the area.

An anonymous source who works nearby said the Benton PD has the corner of the parking lot roped off, there are lots of shell casings on the ground and officers are question lots of people.
