Benton Parks and Recreation offers a big list of activities for Spring 2024. Play, compete or take lessons in one of these programs: Archery, Cornhole, Farmers Market, Fishing, Jiu Jitsu, Kayaking, Pickleball, Princess in the Park, Rhythmic & Dance, Self Defense, Swimming, Tennis & Volleyball. LESSONS/CLASSES
Archery (Ages 9-18) – For Beginner and Experienced Archery students, this program provides a 4-week, one night per week program at the Benton Archery Complex to sharpen up their shooting skills. Lessons are instructed by Certified Coach, Evan Yarberry and Ashley. For more information contact the Programming Team at [email protected].

Kayaking – Looking to spend some time on the Saline River this Spring? These Youth and Adult Kayaking camps provide an excellent course to help your family feel safer and more confident to enjoy one of Benton’s greatest outdoor secrets! Rhythmic & Dance – That’s right, Benton Parks now offers Dance classes for the first time! Taught by choreographer Aleksandra Gerusova, this first month’s opportunity will serve ages 3 to 9. Mrs. Aleksandra has 22 years of experience and education in higher pedagogical education from Russia. She holds Master’s Degrees in Musical Education of Children and Choreography. Self Defense – This is a continuous monthly training program designed to empower Women with the skills, tactics and strategies to help increase the chances of surviving or avoiding a violent situation! Tennis – Come check out the tennis program opportunities with Certified Tennis Pro, Brandon Kiker. Lessons include Tiny Tots/Juniors/Adults 18+, Groups/Semi-Privates/Privates, Ladies/Men’s/Mixed Group Lessons, and Intro to Tennis Lessons! All ages and abilities welcome! Tennis for Tots (April) – This program introduces 4 to 6 years to the sport of Tennis in a fun, skills based environment. Sessions are held at the Tyndall Park Tennis Courts. For more information contact Brandon Kiker at [email protected].
Volleyball – Looking for some off-season volleyball training for your Kindergarten or 1st Grader? To better help younger girls prepare for league play, Future Spikerz will host clinics and game play in this 4 week volleyball camp! PLAY
Cornhole – Time to toss those bags! Cornhole season is here and will be held on Monday nights at the Farmers Market in Downtown Benton. We offer Recreation and Competitive divisions for ages 14 to Adults. You can register as a team or as a free agent. Can’t shake the kids? Don’t worry! Farmers Market – The Downtown Benton Farmers Market is open Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm until October 26th. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, contact the Special Events Manager at [email protected].
Pickleball – Open play is available at River Center! All equipment provided. Available to beginners or advanced players. FREE for River Center Members, Drop Ins $5.
Princess in the Park – Your family is cordially invited to a magical and whimsical experience at the River Center. Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boo was heard as the good fairy cast a spell for a morning filled with magic and delight. Your little princess will be enjoying a morning of interactive songs as they meet & greet their favorite princesses. Space is limited! COMPETE
Benton Sharks Summer Swim and Dive Team – This is a summer league team with a dedicated roster of coaches. This team has received several national and regional accolades for the program. Tryouts run from April 23rd – May 2nd, Pre-Season starts May 6th, and Regular Season starts June 3rd. Unified & Adaptive options available! Cost is $100.00 per swimmer with discounts available. Hooked on Outdoors Fishing Derby – Provided by Benton Parks and Benton Police Department come join us on Saturday, April 13th for a morning of fishing, games, prizes, raffles, and so much more!
