The electric Benton offense led the Panthers to another victory in a shootout last Friday night. Read about the stars in the game and more sports news.

Junior QB Drew Davis and Senior RB Luther Tucker III captained the scoring attack as they were responsible for a combined 434 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Davis connected with Senior WR Elias Payne for 2 touchdowns, and Junior WR Carson Kollat and Senior TE Bronson Coolis for 1 touchdown each.
The ground attack was strong as well. Tucker III rushed for 166 yards, Sophomore TJ Williams for 61 yards, and Senior Quenton Godley for 48 yards, with Tucker III getting the lone touchdown.
The offense wasn’t the only unit that scored either. Senior DL Owen Seals returned a fumble for a touchdown early in the first half. He also tacked on 4 tackles and a tackle for loss. His dominant performance earned him Holland EAST Player of the Week.
Sophomore LB Weston Monson had a career-high 8 tackles and also forced a fumble. Senior S Tyson Jordan had 6 tackles and 3 pass break ups on top of a pick in the 3rd quarter. Senior LB Walter Hicks led the team in tackles with 11 and Senior S Landon Jackson excelled with 10 tackles and a pass breakup.
The Panthers move to 6-1 and look forward to a road trip to War Memorial Stadium to take on the undefeated conference foe Catholic High. Coach Harris and the team are confident they’ll upset the Rockets this Friday.
