The Benton City Council will meet on Thursday, December 17th. The agenda meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. Agenda items include:
- Adopting budget for General Fund, Animal Control, Parks and Street funds;
- Closing inactive bank accounts;
- Amending 2020 budget for General Fund, accepting CARES Act funds for Covid-19;
- Fund for 911 Call Center;
- Fund for Police Vehicles;
- Human Resources software;
- Attorney for PD and FD;
- Fence at Bunche Park;
- Vending services;
- Rezoning former Lisa’s Bait Shop property;
- Several public nuisance properties;
- Darrell Wood and Johnise Lawani as P&Z Commissioners;
- Low bid for Shenandoah bridge project;
- Salaries for City Clerk and Council Members;
- Police Policies & Procedures;
- Jerry Ponder as PUC Commissioner.
- Finally, there will be a special presentation from Mayor Tom Farmer.
