The Benton City Council will meet on Monday, June 27th, immediately following the agenda meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m. The location is at the Benton Municipal Complex at 114 S. East Street.
The agenda includes the following items:
Authorizing the city to enter into a settlement agreement with Brandi Wortham;
Requiring the Benton Public Utility Commission to remit 5.2% of the gross revenues of the city-owned public utilities to the city general fund
Levying a tax on all real and personal property in the city, for city general and for the fireman’s pension and relief fund
Amending the 2022 budget for the city
Adopting the river center rules and regulations for the parks and rec dept
Authorizing the city to enter into a contract for construction of the Ralph Bunche connector at a cost of $340,054.44 for which the city is responsible for 20% of the cost and ARDOT is responsible for 80% of the cost
Declaring certain property as surplus
Further regulating nuisances in the city
Revoking the conditional use granted for a licensed in-home daycare at 2414 Red Bud Cove
To request the saline county tax collector to place a certified lien against real property located at 1719 Dixie Street as a result of incurred expenses by the city
Establish a neighborhood traffic control program to minimize the impact of traffic in residential neighborhoods
Authorizing an increase for the local fire pension that consolidated into LOPFI
Rezoning 1925 River Street, from hi heavy industrial to r4 single family residential zone
Rezoning 910 North East Street, from r2 single family district detached housing to c1 neighborhood commercial
Providing for a conditional use for a multi-family building located at 417 w. South Street
