Benton City Council will hold their regular meeting on Monday, May 24th, in Council Chambers at 114 S. East Street. The agenda meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 6:00 p.m.
Issues in particular up for discussion or vote are:
- Establish a 1.5% tax on hospitality purchases like hotels and restaurants to be used for Advertising & Promotions projects.
- Purchase of a system to communicate with residents.
- Placement of one school resource officer at the CTE school.
- Placement of seven school resource officers into Benton Schools.
- Accepting Federal funds for transportation alternatives and recreational trails.
- Accepting roads in Fields at Hurricane Lake, Richland Hills, Coldwater Creek.
- Abandoning maintenance of a street at Dale Street.
- Settling with Mr. Mitchell and Mr. Coppock on retirement overpayments.
