UPDATE/CORRECTION:
(MySaline confused the two projects, the dog park and the off-leash trail. Read the corrected details below.)
The City of Bryant Dog Park has been a long time in the making and finally appears to be on the doggy horizon. It could still be a while before construction begins on it, but on February 27, 2018, the Bryant City Council approved the location for a dog park to be constructed, according to Tricia Power, of the City of Bryant Animal Control.
While we are waiting for that, the City has designated an area to be an off-leash trail. It’s a half-mile trail that will be called the Bryant Barkway. It’s behind the ballpark on Shobe Road (near Mills Park Road). Organizers have set opening day Bryant Barkway as Sunday, April 1st, 2018, and it will be open for a 90-day trial.
The following is a map of the area and other information from the Facebook page titled City of Bryant Dog Park. Follow them and learn more.
If you want to get more involved with the shaping of this new dog park, you can go to the Dog Park Committee Meetings. They are monthly. Click this Facebook event link for details on the April 9th, May 14th and other upcoming meetings: www.facebook.com/events/174803056475190
