What are some good recipes to make and freeze for the new mom and dad?

It can be very tiring being a new parent. I think this soon to be grandmother wants to get into the good graces of the new Mommy and Daddy so as to merit plenty of grandbaby playing time. Wish I had have had Mom like this!!

Casseroles would be good. Any “one skillet meal” freezes fairly well. Cakes and Pies are also good. Cookies also freeze good. Have you checked out Facebook page: Whatcha Cookin?

However, instead of just freezing the whole thing in a big blob that will take forever to defrost, portion it out into individual servings. You can put it into baggies, plastic wrap or foil (but it will stick). If you choose plastic containers, put a layer of plastic wrap on top so that it will block the air from putting moisture crystals on the food. You could also invest in a vacuum seal instrument and supplies.
