Ashley Clancy announced that she will seek a second term in 2022 as Bryant City Attorney. Her announcement follows.
Clancy, who was appointed to replace the previously elected city attorney, is looking forward to continuing to serve the City of Bryant as its city attorney. “I have enjoyed my role in ensuring that the City of Bryant’s interests are well represented in legal matters,” she said. “I look forward to meeting more of our outstanding citizens during the upcoming campaign.”
Clancy has lived in Bryant for 14 years and is a graduate of Benton High School. “Saline County has always been home,” she said.
Clancy received her Bachelor of Arts in criminology from Arkansas State University and her Juris Doctorate from the UA-Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. Prior to working for the City of Bryant, she spent 13 years working as a deputy prosecuting attorney for Pulaski County.
“This experience has given me the foundation needed to excel in my prosecutorial role for the City of Bryant,” she said. “It has also enabled me to provide a smooth transition for the work I have accomplished for the mayor’s office, city council, city staff and citizens of Bryant.”
Clancy said it has been a privilege to be an integral part of the city’s team, provide counsel and assistance to the city council, mayor and the various departments to ensure that city goals and policies are accomplished in compliance with all applicable laws.
“Ashley Clancy has proven to be a great asset to the citizens of Bryant during her service as city attorney,” said Bryant City Council Member Rob Roedel. “Her dedication to serving the long-term interests of our growing city is a key aspect of the city’s long-range success.”
Ashley is married to Bryant High School Offensive Line Coach Shane Clancy. They have four children, Harley, 17, twins Turner and Cash, 8, and Sawyer, 7. Harley plays volleyball for Bryant and Turner and Sawyer are both members of the Bryant Boys & Girls Club.
Clancy loves cheering on Bryant teams and is a member of the Hornet Touchdown Club and Bryant Elementary Parent Teacher Association. She is actively involved in the children and youth ministries at Northside Church of Christ.
