AT 11AM, DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WARNED AREA. FLASH FLOODING IS ONGOING OR EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, two periods of thunderstorms are possible in the coming days, ranging from strong to severe – one starting Wednesday and another from Friday evening through Saturday morning.
Widespread heavy rain is not expected, but some locally heavy rain is possible. A strong cold front is expected to move across the state Saturday into Saturday night with significantly colder air moving into the state in its wake.
Chances of wintry precipitation are no longer in the forecast. Dangerously cold air will be in place across northern Arkansas Sunday morning.
