A storm system is coming that will affect Arkansas from Wednesday through at least Friday morning in the week ahead, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock. They predict the storm system is going to be strong and bring much moisture over the state, including heavy rainfall and flash flooding. The currently dormant vegetation increases flooding potential by allowing more rainfall to turn into runoff instead of soaking into the ground.
Beginning Wednesday, a large storm system will bring deep moisture over the state, resulting in widespread rain showers and isolated thunderstorms.
