Some were thinking we have freezing temps… and we have a little precipitation as well… so maybe there could be a white Christmas? The short answer to that is “no.”
What little rain there was in the forecast, it’s moving out before the cold front moves in. That means I have to remind you once again to protect your people, pets, pipes and plants. When the freezing temps hit, do the following:
? PEOPLE – Check on neighbors, family and friends that may not have adequate heating.
? PETS – Bring your pets into some insulated shelter like the garage or in the house. Most doghouses aren’t enough protection.
? PIPES – Disconnect the hoses on the outside of your home, cover those faucets with insulated cups from the hardware store or section, and leave your indoor faucets barely dripping.
? PLANTS – Cover any outdoor plants or else bring them inside so they don’t freeze and die.
