The National Weather Service in Little Rock issued the following statement Saturday morning to include Central Arkansas possibly getting an inch of snow:
A mix of light rain, freezing rain, sleet, and light snow will
continue across much of northern Arkansas this morning. As cooling
occurs aloft, precipitation will eventually become all snow.
In central sections of the state, there will be a cold rain today,
with pockets of freezing rain this morning. Later this afternoon and
evening, colder air will arrive from the north, with rain changing
to snow.
One to three inch snow accumulations are expected in the north, with
locally up to four inches. Up to an inch of snow could occur in
central sections.
Through tonight, roads in parts of northern and central Arkansas
will become slick and icy, especially bridges and overpasses.
Visibility will be reduced where snow is occurring.
Mainly rain is in the forecast across southern Arkansas. Amounts
will range from a half inch to an inch and a half, with locally up
to two inches. Any flash flooding will be localized.
