The National Weather Service in Little Rock issued this Winter Weather Briefing on Monday morning November 12, 2018:
A winter mix of precipitation is expected to develop across northwest and north central sections of the state today before changing to snow. Most of the snow will be over the Ozark Mountains. One to two inches accumulations will be possible before the precipitation ends this evening. A dusting of snow is possible in the higher elevations of the Ouachita Mountains. In much of central and southern Arkansas, it will be a cold rain.
Colder air will build into the region from the Plains tonight. Well below normal temperatures are expected through mid week. Low temperatures Tuesday night will range from near 15 degrees across northwest sections to the mid 20s south.
Another storm system will move into the region Wednesday into Thursday. Light snow will be possible in northeast Arkansas, with minor accumulations in the forecast.
