A slow moving cold front will continue to move toward Arkansas today, eventually moving through the state on Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop along and ahead of the front. An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm cannot be ruled out.
West and northwest Arkansas remain most at risk for the strongest storms, however, because of the slow movement of rain and thunderstorms, flash flooding remains the primary hazard today.
Thunderstorms are expected to gradually weaken as activity continues to push into central and eastern Arkansas by Thursday afternoon.
Additional rainfall amounts could range from ½ to 1 inch across much of Arkansas. Rainfall amounts should decrease to less than a tenth of an inch across the southeast half of Arkansas.
