Tropical Storm Francine is expected to become a hurricane on Tuesday, as it tracks towards the Louisiana coast, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock. It should hit land on Wednesday evening, then is expected to head toward Arkansas as it begins to weaken.
Francine is currently located in the Gulf of Mexico with winds of 65 mph. The storm is expected to bring the chance for heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and possibly a few tornadoes Wednesday night through Friday afternoon.
