Arkansans will need to stay shaded and hydrated on Saturday. The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a heat advisory for August 21st, from noon until 7:00 p.m.
Heat index values are expected to be between 105 and 110 in portions of central, eastern, southeast, southwest, and western Arkansas.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur. Stay shaded and hydrated.
Arkansas counties affected will be Johnson; Pope; Logan; Conway; Faulkner; Scott; Yell; Perry; Polk; Montgomery; Garland; Saline; Pulaski; Lonoke; Prairie; Monroe; Pike; Clark; Hot Spring; Grant; Jefferson; Arkansas; Dallas; Cleveland; Lincoln; Desha; Ouachita; Calhoun; Bradley; and Drew.
