Hazardous heat and humidity will continue through at least Saturday, especially over the central and southern portions of Arkansas. Chances of showers and thunderstorms will return to the forecast this weekend, with daily chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of which may become strong to severe at times, primarily for hail and damaging winds, though forecast confidence remains low on the potential more widespread severe weather potential at this time.
