This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Thunderstorms are forecast for portions of the area through
tonight. The best chances through this morning will be across
southern and southwest portions of the area. The primary threat
with this activity will be locally heavy rainfall. There may also
be a strong storm...with some gusty winds and small hail possible.
By later this afternoon...the best chances for thunderstorms will
shift to the west and northwest. At this time...the overall threat
for severe weather will remain low. However...an isolated strong
storm will be possible.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday Through Friday
Additional showers and thunderstorms are likely Sunday through late
Tuesday. A few strong storms will be possible on Sunday...as a
storm system moves into Arkansas from the Plains. Gusty winds
will be the primary concern with any strong storms. However...the
overall threat of widespread severe weather remains low at this
time.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue into the early week...with
any stronger storms capable of producing heavy rainfall. While
the over all threat of flash flooding is low...there could be
localized flooding concerns where heavy rainfall occurs.
