The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued an excessive heat warning, effective July 19th from 2:00 p.m. July 19 to 8:00 p.m. July 20, for Saline County and surrounding areas. Heat index values up to 112 degrees are expected on Tuesday and 114 on Wednesday.
This warning is for portions of central, eastern, north central, southeast, southwest and western Arkansas. Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
