The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for a large part of Arkansas for Wednesday.

Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast, ahead of a slow moving cold front. Organized severe weather is not expected. However, heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding, especially over portions of north Arkansas where heavy rain fell overnight.
Heat index values around 105 degrees are expected Wednesday afternoon over southern Arkansas.
Shower and thunderstorm chances will decrease from the north on Thursday, as the cold front works southward. Severe weather chances will be low. Drier and cooler weather will return for the weekend, with rain chances returning early next week.

Temperatures on Wednesday around midday will vary from the upper 70s to low 90s across Arkansas. Wednesday evening temperatures will vary greatly, as a cold front will continue south across the state. The temperatures at 7:00 p.m. will register from the upper 70s to the upper 80s.
