Showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight into Tuesday morning. Some of the storms will become severe with damaging winds and tornadoes the main threats.
The National Weather Service has issued Tornado Watch #515 in effect until Midnight Monday Night for the following 29 counties in Arkansas:
Central – Conway Faulkner Garland Grant Lonoke Perry Prairie Pulaski Saline White Yell
Eastern – Monroe Woodruff
Southeast – Arkansas Bradley Cleveland Desha Drew Jefferson Lincoln
Southwest – Calhoun Clark Dallas Hot Spring Ouachita Pike
Western – Montgomery Polk Scott
This includes the cities of Arkadelphia, Augusta, Beebe, Benton, Brinkley, Bryant, Cabot, Camden, Clarendon, Conway, Cotton Plant, Danville, Dardanelle, De Valls Bluff, De Witt, Des Arc, Dumas, Fordyce, Glenwood, Gould, Hampton, Hazen, Hot Springs, Kingsland, Little Rock, Lonoke, Malvern, Mccrory, Mcgehee, Mena, Monticello, Morrilton, Mount Ida, Murfreesboro, Norman, North Little Rock, Ola, Perryville, Pine Bluff, Rison, Searcy, Sheridan, Star City, Stuttgart, Thornton, Waldron, And Warren.

A Flood Watch remains in effect from 7 PM Monday, through Tuesday Evening. Beryl has been downgraded to a tropical storm, and was located over eastern Texas this afternoon. It will continue to weaken overnight, and should reach southwest Arkansas by Tuesday morning.
The remnants of Beryl will bring significant rainfall to portions of Arkansas. The highest amounts will be located in a band from near Texarkana extending to the N-NE thru northern Arkansas. The highest amounts are expected to exceed 4 inches. Locally higher amounts will be possible. As a result, the threat for flash flooding will increase.
