Severe Weather Expected Sunday Afternoon Until Wednesday

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, the next few days will be filled with periods of active weather that at times may be severe. The daily forecast is below.

Sunday evening, thunderstorm activity is expected to become more widespread, producing heavy rainfall and could pose an isolated severe hazard and flash flooding threat.

Later tonight into Monday morning, and Monday evening into Tuesday morning, multiple complexes of thunderstorms are forecast to enter from the northwest, with the primary hazards including damaging winds, hail, and flash flooding.

This Afternoon

  • Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. Southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight

  • Showers and thunderstorms likely before 7pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday

  • A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 84. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

  • Showers and thunderstorms. Low around 68. South southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Tuesday

  • Showers and thunderstorms. High near 81. West northwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
