Breezy southerly winds will be seen through Tuesday evening. Expect winds of 20 to 30 mph at times, with gusts over 40 mph possible. These breezy winds will turn to the north and northwest late Tuesday night into early Wednesday as a cold front moves through the state.

An elevated wildfire threat will be seen for the northwest third of the area as breezy winds combined with low humidity.

A few thunderstorms will be possible late tonight across northern into northeast sections along the cold front as it moves through the state. Damaging winds will be the primary threat with the strongest storms.

Breezy northwest winds will be seen during Wednesday morning before winds relax by the late afternoon hours. Expect winds of 20 to 25 mph, with gusts over 40 possible. Expect the threat for hazardous weather to become low by Wednesday night.
