Gusty south to southwest winds will continue Monday morning across most of the state of Arkansas. Gusts could reach 40 to 45 mph, and could bring down trees/tree limbs in places and cause spotty power outages. The winds will slacken during the afternoon hours as a cold front moves away.
Later in the week, a powerful storm system will track from central Texas to the Tennessee Valley, and may trigger another round of severe weather from central Arkansas to the Gulf Coast Thursday afternoon and evening. The severe threat will likely continue into the overnight hours.
All modes of severe weather will be possible including strong gusty winds, large hail and tornadoes some of which could be strong.
