The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until midnight.
Expect pockets of freezing rain and sleet in portions of central and eastern Arkansas.
There will be minor ice accruals – less than a tenth of an inch expected – mainly on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses. Travel may become hazardous in places.
The following counties in Arkansas are in the advisory: Independence, Cleburne, Jackson, Faulkner, White, Woodruff, Saline County, Pulaski, Lonoke, Prairie, and Monroe.
