The final wave of moisture will be moving into the state early this morning. The atmosphere continues to support freezing rain although some pockets of snow and sleet can not be totally ruled out. We are still looking at additional freezing rain accumulations of up to a quarter of an inch today with the best chances from central into northeast Arkansas. Some of the higher terrain areas could see a little bit more.

This amount of additional freezing rain on top of what has already occurred will lead to travel disruptions with bridges and overpasses seeing the most adverse effects. Power outages have been steadily increasing and with more icing, additional outages are to be expected.
The atmosphere will warm up just enough later today to turn the freezing rain to just regular rain for parts of the state. The precipitation will end early this evening as a little bit of everything, as colder air surges south.
Low temperatures tonight will drop into the teens and 20s with highs warming up back into the 30s and 40s on Friday to help with the melting process.
