THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH UNTIL NOON TODAY WHICH REPLACES A PORTION OF TORNADO WATCH 34.
THE NEW WATCH IS VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING 23 COUNTIES:
IN CENTRAL ARKANSAS GRANT LONOKE PRAIRIE PULASKI SALINE WHITE
IN EASTERN ARKANSAS JACKSON LAWRENCE MONROE RANDOLPH WOODRUFF
IN NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS INDEPENDENCE SHARP
IN SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS ARKANSAS BRADLEY CLEVELAND DESHA DREW JEFFERSON LINCOLN
IN SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS CALHOUN DALLAS OUACHITA.
THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ASH FLAT, ATTICA, AUGUSTA, BATESVILLE, BEEBE, BENTON, BRINKLEY, BRYANT, CABOT, CAMDEN, CAVE CITY, CLARENDON, COTTON PLANT, DE VALLS BLUFF, DE WITT, DES ARC, DUMAS, FORDYCE, GOULD, HAMPTON, HARDY, HAZEN, HOXIE, KINGSLAND, LITTLE ROCK, LONOKE, MCCRORY, MCGEHEE, MONTICELLO, NEWPORT, NORTH LITTLE ROCK, PINE BLUFF, POCAHONTAS, RISON, SEARCY, SHERIDAN, STAR CITY, STUTTGART, THORNTON, WALNUT RIDGE, AND WARREN.
Severe storms will continue this morning, especially across the eastern and southeastern half of Arkansas. All severe hazards remain possible including tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail. Storms will end west to east by afternoon.
