It’s unclear yet whether there was tornado activity in Saline County, but there is storm damage in the southeast section. At 6:46 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024, the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for the areas that include East End and surrounding communities.
As of 8:30 p.m. there were multiple reports of storm damage including downed power lines and trees, according to the Saline County Office of Emergency Management (OEM). Authorities on the scene assessing damage and clearing roads include OEM, the County Road Department, the Sheriff’s Office and other first responders.
