The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Winter Storm Watch from now until February 11 at noon. Next week, temps could be in the single digits with chance of snow.
Areas of freezing rain are expected to develop Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
Accruals of ice over ¼ inch are possible in portions of northern and central Arkansas, mainly in areas north and east of Hardy, Mountain View, Clinton, Hot Springs, Pine Bluff, and Brinkley. Ice will not only make travel hazardous, there could be enough build-up of ice to cause tree damage and power outages.
