Ice Storm Warning remains until noon Thursday; Overnight lows could cause black ice through Saturday

An additional round of wintry precipitation is happening now and will continue into Thursday until around noon, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock.

One last round of wintry weather will affect much of Arkansas through Thursday morning. Additional ice accumulations are expected, with the highest amounts expected across portions of central and southern Arkansas, primarily along and south of the Interstate 40 corridor.



Between 1/10 and 1/4 inch of additional ice accumulations are expected, with upwards of 1/2 inch possible in a few locations. This will result in dangerous driving conditions overnight and Thursday morning.

Freezing rain. Low around 28. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.2 of an inch possible.

Rain or freezing rain likely before 11am, then a chance of rain between 11am and 5pm. Patchy fog before 7am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 38. North wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.2 of an inch possible.

Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 28. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Sunny, with a high near 39. Wind chill values as low as 19. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
