According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, we are in for a very windy day across the Natural State, due in part to a strong surface pressure gradient and strong winds in the low levels of the atmosphere likely being brought down to the surface. Sustained northwesterly winds of 20-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph will prevail through the morning and afternoon, prompting our issuance of a Wind Advisory.
Be aware that gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
