The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Winter a Weather Advisory until Sunday January 16th at 6 a.m. They are predicting snow accumulations somewhere between a dusting up to around 3-4 inches.
The greater accumulations will be in the highest terrain of the Ouachita Mountains of Western Arkansas, with the lighter amounts in the lower terrain areas.
This will be in the western area of Arkansas, as well as portions of Central Arkansas, mainly the higher terrain of the Ouachita Mountains.
Rain will transition over to snowfall during the day on Saturday. This snowfall may create some hazardous travel conditions on Saturday.
The affected counties will be Logan; Scott; Yell; Perry; Polk; Montgomery; Garland; and Saline.
