Hazardous winter weather conditions, including impactful snowfall and other associated mixed precipitation types, is expected across the forecast area beginning Thursday afternoon and going through much of Friday.

Areas of greatest concern and possible impacts due to snowfall includes western central to northern central Arkansas, and the higher terrain of the Ouachita and Boston Mountains, with widespread accumulations of 6 inches or more possible.
Snowfall accumulations of up to 4 to 5 inches will be possible. Thus will be across much of central, eastern, and northeastern Arkansas.
Intermittent freezing rain will be possible across far southern Arkansas through the overnight period Thursday night.
Hazardous driving conditions are expected across the state, particularly through the overnight period Thursday night. Travel should be delayed if possible, and caution should be used if travel is necessary.
