Everyone’s excited that we may have snow coming to central Arkansas Sunday night and Monday, so I wanted to give an update on the forecast from the National Weather Service in Little Rock.
Saturday Night
The threat for hazardous weather will remain low through Saturday tonight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Calm wind becoming north northeast around 5 mph.
Sunday
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Northeast wind around 5 mph.
Sunday Night
A 50% chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 29. Northeast wind around 5 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
A storm system will bring chances for snowfall to the southern half of the state Sunday night through midday Monday. While some light accumulation may be seen across central sections of the state, with generally less than an inch possible. Higher snowfall accumulations will be possible farther south. Snowfall accumulations of 1 – 2 inches are forecast across the far southern sections of the state, with some locally higher amounts possible. This snowfall may create some travel hazards Sunday night into Monday. Beyond Monday…expect the threat for hazardous weather to become low.
