Members of the Bryant Boys and Girls Club will continue to enjoy the organization’s summer programming thanks to a donation from the Arvest Foundation in the amount of $7,500.
The Bryant Boys and Girls Club is the leading youth development agency in Saline County. Its mission is to provide a safe, fun and engaging environment for local children, primarily those in grades K-5. Programs at the Bryant Boys and Girls Club are designed to promote academic success, encourage good character and teach healthy living skills.
This donation will go directly to funding the operations for the Bryant Boys and Girls Club’s summer program, including:
- Providing members with daily breakfast and lunch
- Equipping the club’s staff with the resources they need to lead the specialized classes
- Maintaining the health standards set forth by the Department of Health
“We are extremely grateful to receive this generous donation from the Arvest Foundation,” said Suzanne Passmore, CEO of the Bryant Boys and Girls Club. “This donation will better equip us to continue to provide a trustworthy summer enrichment program for our youth of essential workers, in a safe, fun and educational environment.”
“At Arvest, we take every opportunity to invest in the futures of our children,” said Phillip Partain, community bank president for Arvest Bank in Saline County. “The Bryant Boys and Girls Club impacts the lives of local kids every single day by giving them a safe space to learn and play and mentors to rely on. I am glad to know that this donation is going to be used to impact hundreds of kids in Saline County.”
This year, due to COVID-19, admissions to the summer program were limited to 100 children, and priority was given to parents who are essential workers. The Bryant Boys and Girls Club is also taking precautions to ensure its Bishop Park location is cleaned daily to allow for the continuation of this program.
