Bobby Cullison of Avilla announces his campaign:
To the People of Saline County Justice of the Peace District 4
Greetings,
I am Bobby Cullison and I am running for the District 4 Justice of the Peace position on the Saline County Quorum Court. I am a US Army Veteran and served for 34 years in law enforcement. I have studied Criminal Justice and Political Science at UALR and obtained my degree in Law Enforcement. I was also a licensed building contractor for 15 years. I have a very diverse background, with knowledge and experience in governmental operations and the construction industry. This knowledge and experience has equipped me to be an effective member of the Saline County Quorum Court, where decisions are made that affect people’s everyday lives.
I am a lifelong Arkansan who has resided in Saline County for 30 years. I have been married to Doris for 42 years and have 2 daughters, Kelly and Shelly, who were raised here and graduated from Bryant High School. I also have 6 grandchildren.
I retired from the Little Rock Police Department in 2006, after 26 years of service. I joined the Saline County Sheriff’s Office in 2012 and left in December 2017, to run for this office and represent you on the Quorum Court. At the Sheriff’s Office, I served as the Intelligence Officer and Cold Case Investigator. In my law enforcement role, I recognized some things that affect our safety and security. Some of the issues that I will address as a Quorum Court member are:
- Improving the safety of our county roads, particularly the craters on the shoulders, from washouts.
- Supporting adequate personnel and equipment for law enforcement– for all areas of the county.
- Slowing the ever increasing jail closures due to overcrowding.
- Addressing trash and junk build up that depreciates neighborhood home values.
I will effectively represent you by:
- Attending all meetings and represent our district professionally and effectively.
- Staying connected to you by establishing a social media page for discussing problems and solutions.
- Seeking your opinions on issues that affect our district.
- Being a good and conservative steward of your tax dollars.
I believe it’s time for someone to represent District 4 that will play an active role in addressing the issues we face in our part of the county. We need someone with the background to stand up for District 4. I promise to be an engaged member of the Quorum Court-to work to make Saline County an even better place to live. If you are ready for a change, to make county government effective and responsive to the people of District 4, please be sure to participate in the election process. Early voting starts May 7th and Election Day is May 22nd. Thank you for your time and I ask you for your vote and support. I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns at [email protected].
