Three chambers of commerce welcomed local legislators Friday morning to speak at a program updating citizens on the current bills in the legislative session. Thanks to the Benton, Bryant and Hot Springs Village chambers for hosting legislators Rep. Keith Brooks, Rep. Lanny Fite, Rep. Tony Furman, Sen. Kim Hammer, Rep. Julie Mayberry, and Rep. Richard McGrew, along with members of the community in the audience. Sen. Alan Clark and Rep. Tony Furman were not able to be present. Local chambers of commerce come together to present the Saline County Legislative Breakfast on a regular basis during the legislative session. It’s an in-person meeting where the public gets an update directly from our legislators.
The next event, sponsored by Farm Bureau Arkansas, is Friday, February 26th at First Southern Baptist Church at 604 S. Reynolds Road in Bryant. Breakfast begins at 6:40am and the program is from 7-8am. Contact your local chamber of commerce to register for this free event. Sausage or bacon biscuits will be served, with juice and coffee.
