Watch for crews striping the road on Interstate 30 over the weekend. On Saturday, during the day, crews will be working on both sides of the Interstate, in the area between Highway 70 (Exit 111) and Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116), as well as on Highway 67 at the interchange.
This work is necessary, but not fun, so here are some gifs from the movie Stripes!
Weather permitting, this work will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 17th. Traffic may experience slower speeds or temporary delays during the striping operation as paint trucks work in the area; however, there will be no lane or ramp closures during the work. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
