Interstate 30 westbound traffic in Saline County will shift toward the outside lane as part of the construction project to widen I-30 to six lanes.
Weather permitting, I-30 westbound traffic at the Highway 70 interchange will move from the existing main lanes onto new pavement on the outside shoulder. Crews will move traffic onto the new pavement during the hours of Tuesday night, August 1 at 9 p.m. until Wednesday morning August 2 at 5 a.m. This traffic shift will remain in place for the foreseeable future to allow for continued construction of the new I-30 westbound lanes.

In addition, the Highway 70 ramp to I-30 west will also be closed overnight and shifted toward the outside. Ramp detour traffic will take I-30 east to Exit 114 (Highway 67 South) and return to I-30 west.
Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
