Two Interstate 30 ramps will close on July 2nd, according to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT). This is part of construction to widen I-30 to six lanes in Saline County.
closing the Interstate 30 westbound off-ramp to Highway 67/229 (Exit 114) and the South Street on-ramp to I-30 westbound (Exit 116) from 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 2 through 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 3.
See the detour map below, provided by ARDOT.
Weather permitting, crews will close these ramps to allow for construction activities and for the I-30 westbound off-ramp to Highway 67/229 (Exit 114) traffic to be shifted toward the outside onto new pavement.
Traffic will not be able to use these ramps during the closure and will need to follow the signed detours. See detour map NR 24-207-A for more information.
- I-30 westbound off-ramp to Highway 67/229 (Exit 114). I-30 westbound traffic accessing Highway 67/229 will need to exit early at the South Street off-ramp (Exit 116) in Benton and take Highway 229.
- South Street on-ramp to I-30 westbound (Exit 116). Frontage road traffic will take Highway 229 and use the on-ramp at Highway 67/229 (Exit 114) to access I-30 westbound.
Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
