Interstate 30 (I-30) westbound traffic in Saline County will shift onto new pavement overnight from 9 p.m. Thursday, June 20 through 6 a.m. Friday, June 21.
Weather permitting, I-30 westbound traffic between Highway 67/229 (Exit 114) and Highway 70 (Exit 111) will move from the existing main lanes onto new pavement toward the median. Traffic can expect lane closures and slow roll operations during this traffic shift.
Read more and see the map below, provided by ARDOT.
In addition, the I-30 westbound off- and on-ramps at Highway 70 (Exit 111) will be closed overnight to allow crews to shift traffic. Signed detours will be in place to navigate around the ramp closures. See the detour map above for more information. Accommodations will be made to allow emergency vehicles to access closed ramps.
- I-30 westbound off-ramp to Highway 70 (Exit 111). Traffic will continue on I-30 west, take Exit 106 (Old Military Road), return to I-30 east, and take Exit 111 (Highway 70).
- Highway 70 on-ramp to I-30 west. Traffic will take the on-ramp to I-30 east, take Exit 114 (Hwy. 67/229), and return to I-30 west.
All I-30 eastbound on- and off-ramps will remain open during this work.
Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
