Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County will require closing the I-30 westbound off- and on-ramps at South Street (Exit 116) during overnight hours 10 p.m. Friday, June 7 through 6 a.m. Saturday, June 8 in Saline County.
See the detour map below, provided by ARDOT.
The I-30 westbound off- and on-ramps at South Street (Exit 116) will be closed to allow ramp repair and barrier wall work. Signed detours will be in place to navigate around the ramp closures. See detour map NR 24-169-A for more information. Accommodations will be made to allow emergency vehicles to access closed ramps.
- South Street on-ramp to I-30 westbound. Frontage road traffic accessing I-30 westbound will detour to Highway 229 and the frontage road.
- I-30 westbound off-ramp to South Street (Exit 116). Exiting traffic will detour to I-30 westbound Exit 117 (Highway 5/35).
All I-30 eastbound on- and off-ramps will remain open during this work.
Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
