Look for ARDOT to restripe the pavement on Interstate 30’s South Street bridge on Sunday night. This is part of a construction project to widen I-30 to six lanes in Saline County.
This will require flagging operations along South Street Bridge and the following surrounding roads from 9 p.m. Sunday, May 19 to 6 a.m. Monday, May 20:
- South Street Bridge (Roundabout to Jefferson Street)
- Frontage road north of I-30 (Highway 229 to the roundabout and the right westbound lane underneath the South Street Bridge)
- Bell Street (South Street to W Sevier Street)
- Frontage road south of I-30 (Citizens Drive to South Street)
See the detour map below 👇 provided by ARDOT.
The public is encouraged to find alternate routes as traffic delays are expected. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
