Construction to widen Interstate 30 to six lanes in Saline County requires a traffic pattern change for westbound I-30 ramp traffic at Exit 114, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, traffic using the westbound I-30 exit ramp (Exit 114) to Highway 229/67 will no longer stop at the ramp’s intersection with Highway 229/67, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 5th. Traffic on Highway 229/67 and the I-30 frontage road will still be required to stop at the intersection before proceeding.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
