Look for a temporary detour near Exit 114 now through the weekend. The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) will be closing lanes overnight on Highway 67/229 underneath the Interstate 30 bridge. This is part of construction to widen Interstate 30 to six lanes in Saline County.
Weather permitting, crews will close Highway 67/229 below Interstate 30 at Haskell (Exit 114), between Pawnee Drive and the frontage road north of I-30 on the following dates:
- 9 p.m. Thursday, June 29 through 5 a.m. Friday, June 30
- 11:59 p.m. Friday, June 30 through 6 a.m. Saturday, July 1
See the detour map below:
This closure will allow for crews to hang steel bridge girders for the I-30 Bridge over Highway 67. Highway 67/229 traffic will be unable to travel below the interstate during this closure and will need to follow the signed detours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
