McAlister’s Deli is coming soon… I finally figured out where. This location is on the south end (right end) of the AT&T store at Alcoa Exchange (map). According to Renee Taggart, they have the “bestest sweet tea ever.”
Is this really news? I just wanted everyone to know how cool the berries are on the bushes in the Starbucks drive-thru at Alcoa Exchange.

It took me a while, but I figured out where the gorilla went. If you look at the topic “New Game: Where in Old Benton,” you will see reference to this brown furry spectacle and his former dwellings. Actually, this is probably not the same gorilla that hung out at Military Road and Carpenter Road, and probably not the same gorilla that had a cameo in the feature film “Slingblade.” But Santa has helpers too when he can’t be everywhere.
House o’ lights on Reynolds Road. It’s normally the house o’ windows. I have heard people say (true or not) why there are so many windows on that house.
Something to the effect of: the guy who had the house built had been a prisoner of war and didn’t have windows for such and such amount of time, so he had windows put all over the walls so he could always see out. Does anybody want to add to or correct that before somebody starts believing it? This picture’s quality was unfortunately subject to the limitations of a digital camera at night at 40* mph.
There’s a new restaurant going in next to Larry’s Pizza on Prickett Road in Bryant. The sign says “Coming Soon, Home Plate Diner.” I’m guessing there will be a baseball theme.
And we’re still waiting for this new road to open up, called Kenwood. It’s off Hwy 5/35 here.
That’s it for now.
