The Bryant Police Department and Bryant Police FOP are hosting their annual event to help as many local children as possible to have new shoes for the school year. You can donate to the Putting Kids Feet First program by dropping off your monetary donation at the Bryant Police Department, Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Make checks payable to the Bryant FOP.
No City funds are used for this program – it’s all done with donations from the community. The actual shopping event will be on Thursday, September 7th, so please get your donations in with plenty of time before then.
In 2016, Putting Kids Feet First raised enough money to put almost 100 kids in a new pair of shoes. Shoe Carnival in Bryant has agreed to participate again this year by offering discounts to purchase shoes there. Officers said it was one of the most touching moments as an officer to see the children receive a new pair of shoes.
If you have any questions regarding the program, you may contact Sgt. Todd Crowson or Det. Scottie Courtney at the Bryant Police Department 501-943-0943.
